If you're going to buy this combo for a Traxxas vehicle (especially one of our brushless models), I strongly suggest you install a Traxxas connector on the pack rather than use the adapter pictured above. The adapter's Molex plug adds a lot of electrical resistance, which reduces efficiency. If you're not comfortable soldering the Traxxas plug onto the pack, consult your dealer for help.

If that adapter is for using the charger with a Traxxas-plug-equipped pack, that's fine.

The pack is only good for 39 amps?

I know it's a continuous "rating," but the "ratings" for continuous usually actually mean peak.

I don't imagine this working too well.

Peter also has a good point, the Tamiya plug will be melting on a brushless vehicle, but I wouldn't be surprised if the pack melts as well.
