I don't see why the JL10 class is having rules changes forced on it beings none of the those guys want them to change and they came up with the class/rules to begin with. And for the most part was the largest class last year. This seems like a good way to run them off.

That is the purpose of those meetings. The first one is to discuss suggestions on things you would like to see changed or not changed and the second is to vote on them. This is why it is important for people to show up at these meetings to make their voice heard. Yall wont even there to discuss the body change.
As far as the class itself goes, I wont vote on it because I dont plan to run in it. I can see reason behind some of those things though not so much to slow them down as to make them fair and as close to stock as possible. When it gets to the point of pulling heat sinks and stuff off the motors, etc., what is the point of even having a motor rule? If someone is going to go to that extreme what is to keep them from actually altering the internals? Yes its nothing technically in the rules to keep people from doing that either so that leaves a huge grey area. That is why the Nastruck, Late Models, and the Limited Sportsman had so many rules was to get rid of as much of that grey area to be fair for everyone.

Ray, "forced", really?? You been doing this long enough and been to enough of these meetings that you should know better. Nothing is "forced" on anyone here. While I do get your point of them doing the rules to begin with, It is an established class which gives anyone who plans to run in that class a voice. When people dont show up for the meetings though, things get discussed in their absence and their voice doesnt get heard.
Nothing has been changed on anything. I am just posting what was discussed which is all it was. The vote of changes is this Saturday, Feb 18th. If you want to see those changes or not, it is important that you are there at the meeting to vote.

Try giving Steve a call or stop by the barn between now and the meeting and let him know your thoughts. I dont know if that will suffice or not but worth a shot.

Yes really. Seems like at least the issue is being forced. And you speak of others that may be interested in driving that class, if thats actually the case why is it they are already trying to change or modify rules? And you know what i shouldn't have put that as a question because i could care less about your up coming answer. This is my last post on this topic as I have no vested intrests in it.
Yall have Fun now Ya hear.

I think Ray and I were the only ones that could not race the planned race weekends and we are planning on running at the Alley anyway so hopefully the week will stay as it is for you.

Up ill be at the alley, and if the dates stay the original dates ill run the barn. If there's enough to make a class. Most of the guys are running oval an off-road.

Still waiting on the email from Steve with the list but races will start March 3rd. Virtually the jl10 and iroc will be 2 separate things. The iroc will be more of a stock restrictive class and jl10 will be what that class was running.

The Antique Barn & Hobby Shop will be having a booth at the Wilson Fairgrounds on May 18th-19th from 2pm to approximately 10pm in association with the Relay 4 Life / American Cancer Society event. We will be setting up a race track and allow people to come try out some rc racing. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. We are looking for volunteers to come help out with the booth. Please contact Steve @ The Antique Barn (252-237-6778) for more details.
For more details of the Relay 4 Life event itself...

It actually turned out really well. We were extremely busy Friday night but luckily a little slow Saturday morning (we were dragging lol). The kids run us to death turn marshaling and I think they aimed for us quite a bit too. I believe we raised right at about $200 and learned a lot for next time. I would definitely do it again. All and all I think it was a pretty good success.
As far as getting a hold of Danny, I have his email address if it hasnt changed. I can send him a message if you want me to.

John, question. How is it the barn iracing league continued on to another season and I have for some reason got kicked out? Because i haven't seen email #1 about any of it and i see yall are still running. I had the fewest incidents last season then all you guys, so it must be something personal. Do explain.
