Talking Traxxas ford fiesta brushed to brushless

Picked up my new brushed rally today from my local hobby shop.
got home and started to tear it down. i took the esc off and brushed motor and installed a 1/10 scale traxxas velineon system.

here are pics of the motor mounted. i need to figure out where i want to and how to mount the esc. i have taken pics of two possible locations let me know what you guys think!

The MERV I bought had a VLX-3S mounted where you're holding it in the last pic. He cut through the chassis and dropped it down to where the battery would have been.

It worked, but I am curious why so many people think these lesser suspension and chassis parts make a great combination with full size power. I can't stand the slop in my knuckles and links even when they are new and the whole chassis has been repaired.

No. Different bolt pattern and not enough torque to be considered an upgrade.
