OK... based on the response here and talking to some of you at the track, the 17.5 TC class WILL ALLOW BOOST. But, hopefully some more of the "fast guys" will step up and enter the Open Mod TC class.
So... the series will have four classes:
17.5 TC (boost allowed)
Open Mod TC
Touring GT
12th scale
Class rules are posted on the website...
https://sites.google.com/site/downeastchamp/classes
Also, please make sure to let us know what classes you plan on entering so we can hit the ground running on the first series race (4/30)...
https://sites.google.com/site/downeastchamp/entry-list
https://sites.google.com/site/downeastchamp/schedule
It would be nice to get transponder numbers from everyone so we can have things entered into the computer ahead of time so we can keep the races moving smoothly.

Only 12 days before the series opener (April 30th)... PLEASE help us get ready by confirming your classes and providing transponder numbers so the first race goes off as smoothly as possible. https://sites.google.com/site/downeastchamp/entry-list
So far the weather for this coming Saturday (April 23rd) looks pretty decent. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to run outside at Rosewood so come on out and get your asphalt setup squared away for the start of the series.

I hear Roar has killed "boosted" class. Are you guys gonna keep running boosted 17.5? Just curious.
I'm also not sure which class to run or whos side to join. Mod or 17.5? Rosewood or Fayettenam? Can I choose Japan? Who do I submit my info to?

I have not read the whole 17.5 and blinky mode ROAR debate recently as it just got too frustrating to follow.
The RW & FMRC racers expressed they wanted a 17.5 boosted class for the series so we are having it as a class along with open mod, touring GT and 12th scale.
No you can't choose Japan (LOL) but you are free to represent RW or FMRC as you see best.
I have access to the series website as does Tim M (cheerwhiner2), so you can submit your info to either or both of us.

Hmmm, I'm undecided on which class. Only 5 in mod. We'll see. Mod in Fayetteville will be like... crazy!

The good thing about mod is you can still run a 17.5 if that is all that is needed for the track... but if you can get the grip, handle the speed and track conditions allow... a 4.5 is legal too :-)

Maybe... but I doubt it. IMO local tracks will race what makes the paying customer happy and I doubt that many of our local racers are ROAR members. But if anyone is interested in the debate, there is plenty of it on RCTech

For Sale: T3'11, I ran it during the carpet season and a couple times on asphalt. Chassis plate was protected by a laminate sheet and is almost in perfect condition. This is my spare car now and I'm wanting to sell it for $375.00 to do the 12th scale series and not Touring GT. Not interested in trades or financing it. I still have another T3'11 im running in the 17.5 class. I'll bring it to RW next week for the season opener of the racing season. Thanks Manuel

Chris Johnson just asked me to post this up for him. He is selling both of this TC5's. Asking price for both his cars and spares is $300 obo. Or, you can buy just one TC5 and no spares for $150. We are hitting up the local crowds before we post up on the for sale forums. Let me or Chris know.

So far... the weather looks good for this Saturday... mostly sunny & 80.
Looks decent for Friday too... might have to take half a day off from work and get a few practice runs in :-)
