Whats really sad is I remember paying 55 cents for a gallon of gas. I guess that dates me somewhat lol. Yeah it is very scary what is going on. I am so glad we switched to a corn furnace and solar 2 years ago. I would never be able to afford oil to heat my house.

You're not old Lost, you are just much wiser than the rest of us, lol. I have been working on a blueprint for my custom home when I eventually graduate college. I want a way to use natural light and fiber optics to light my house. And when I grasp a better understanding of it, to somehow transfer that light into an energy source. Kinda like solar panels, but with no visible panels. If not, then I will be right there with you, solar panel me up!

Couldnt you just make roofpanels that mimic black glased tiles but function as solarpanels?
Ive never understood why solor panels have to be so hellafuggin ugly..

Can't even see mine unless out on the lake. I have a very odd shaped roof which hides them very well. Ugly or not saving $500 or a month is worth it.

It's just something I have been working on in my spare time. If it doesn't work, then I will spend the money on some panels to save a helluva a lot of money.
On a different note, Texas weather was awesome today!!! High 60's outside. Took the Harley out today for giggles, and let me tell you, being able to ride with a short sleeve shirt, jeans, and no helmet was a nice change from full leathers and a full shield helmet!

Speaking of oil, spending $500 a month on it right now. Also, rate caps came off here in PA for electricity rates, and my bills went up there nearly 40%. Nearly $700 a month just for heat and electricity for my little 1400sqft house. It's crazy.
SO GLAD it's not a frigid winter!

Oh yeah snowing hardcore this morning. I got to finally ride my new sled. It was awesome.
8-10" more snow today and tonight and another 8-12" coming Tuesday into Wednesday.
Gotta love winter that shows up 2 weeks before it's over lol.

Drove my MX5 to work today, with the top up...though I did have a window cracked!
67 later this week, could be the first top down day of the year.

No coat today! High of 67, probably putting the top down on the way home today!
Went shopping with my better half last night, and found a Black and Decker outlet store...picked up a nice variable speed jigsaw for $25! 50% off. I use a cheapie single speed for cutting my aluminum, this should give much better control. Coincidentally, my new sheets of 2mm 6061 arrived yesterday too. Let the cutting begin!

Its low 70's here, but raining. I'm glad for the rain, buy I would just like a couple of days next week that it doesn't rain, so I can go run the truck.

Little ink work done on Sunday in the inside of my right wrist. Paying for it today, the inner wrist is very sensitive, and it's swollen and bruised. Never had a tat hurt this badly....flippin hurts just to pick up my coffee cup. Love it though!
Won't be doing any wrenching on my cars for a while....the thought of turning a screwdriver - no way! Hopefully by the weekend I'll be back in action. 70 on Sunday here, good day to sneak out with the crawlers.

Good morning Zonies..... What a weird winter the ice on the lake I love on finally went out this morning. Which is only about 4 weeks early only! It's been in the 60-70's here for about 10 days which in 40 years I have never seen happen before in March. Sort of makes you wonder doesn't it? lol
Have a good day everyone.
