You've had a hard time trying to sell that bad boy haven't you I made you an offer about a month ago which still stands if interested - $185 shipped. I know it's worth way more than that realistically.

I offered him a deal last year ($200)... he was like F-U, even on another board... Looks like you prize your stuff too much. Try e-bay!

Not a bad looking XX-4. With guys now going with the X-5 conversion may get a buyer on that.

How many of you guys are going to try the X-5 conversion?

Most of the vehicles nowadays in 4wd in the hands of capable driver are close to each other in performance with small advantages / disadvantages to each.

There is someone local here that has an X-5 and when the point series starts up in the summer I will be racing against him. Should be nice to see how the vehicle handles. We look to have a good variety, BJ4x4s, XX-4s, X-5s, SB Pros and sports, XXX-4s, etc. 4wd sure has variety, just need more people.

I'm having fun still with my XX-4. Just got done rebuilding my primary car top to bottom, used Acer diff balls and AE black grease ... sanded down the diff rings with 1200 grit sandpaper, and put in new outdrive bearings. What a difference that made! It feels like butter now. Also rebuilt my shocks and topped them off with fresh oil, one had a slightly bent shaft that I couldn't see until I took them apart. I polished all my hinge pins and ball studs. Rebuilt the clicker with a fresh slipper pad, and just cleaned cleaned cleaned everything.

After doing all that I found a few race winning setup sheets on the teamlosi website and set the car to those specs. The final touch was adding my tuned 8x2 D6 motor and motor heatsink Oh, and a fresh set of tires front and rear.

As soon as it dries out enough, I'm going to take it up to the local dirt track and see how she does. But for now it's just sitting pretty on my shelf. I almost don't want to run it, it's so clean!

this is off of a horizon hobbies newslatter that i get......................................World Champion XX-4 Makes A Comeback!
Team Losi is pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, the XX-4 (LOSA0011) is being re-released as a "Limited Edition" graphite kit. The XX-4 four-wheel drive buggy ruled the raceways around the world for years but, as the trend in tracks moved to smoother, well-groomed surfaces, the XXX-4 was developed to take advantage of the new breed of motor and batteries. In 2005, major events were run on rough, rutted tracks and the XX-4 ruled again, winning both the European Championships as well as the last two rounds of the prestigious UK 4WD championship along with the 2005 BRCA Junior and Regional Championships. Needless to say, racers want it, so Team Losi will make it available as before. All the same graphite, titanium and machined aluminum parts are included to build the World Champion rough track wonder. All parts have been and will remain available as well. Look for the Worlds Limited Edition XX-4 Graphite kit to be available in Mid November.

Whats so hard about soldering up some special packs? Thats a weak reason not to buy a sweet car.

Lets just hope the next four wheeler from Losi is designed from scratch, like the XX4 was. Then they might get it right. But atleast they are trying, unlike AE.

I still miss my XX4, but I have a TT01 turned buggy now.

Could someone please post a list of parts I need for the XX-4. Todd from losi said parts would be available in December. I just bought another xxx-4 roller as a spare and a used xx-4 roller as well. I know nothing about the XX-4 as far as the drivetrain, clicker, and 3 belt system. If someone could compile a list of consumables on this car it would be appreciated. After all it's only 2005 and we still can't make plastics that don't break

I'm probably going to buy an additional xx-4 new as well. This roller will be a spare as well.

Thanks, Kevin
