Not sure of the factory settings, but when mine gets out of sorts and I need to start over, 3 turns out on the high speed, flush on the low speed, and take the air filter off and set the idle stop at about 1.5mm open. Should work fine.

Re: gs storm re
Interchangeable with what?
Does anyone else have a different 1/8th buggy or have had one? If so how do the plastics on the GS Storm compare? I am considering a different buggy but if the plastics are good I will stick with it.
Anyone heard anything of a Storm MT? I saw something about it like a sept. 2001 issue or RCCA by accident!? Is there such a thing? I saw in the picture it looks like a storm with MT tires. What is the difference? Tires, gearing, body? If so what parts do I need to be able to run the tires? Id like to do some mud bogging or rock climbing like I could do with my T-Maxx(before I sold it to get the buggy).

I have had my GS storm for a few weeks now and the only thing i have had trouble with are the differentials, i have rebuilt them several times and they are not very smooth and lock up a little bit every few turns, my main problem is in the rear diff. And after i do get them working smooth, they seem to give me trouble again after a few runs. I heard you have to tighten the diffs every couple minutes after a rebuild to set the gears, true?

you bought one of the older kits. What you need to do is take apart your whole differential system ( all 3 diffs) and send them to horizon hobby with a letter saying that you have problems with your diffs, and they will send you the new, updated diffs. It fixed my problem.

Guys- The care packages that are being referred to here were sent to those who bought one of the first 300 or so RTR kits almost 2 years ago. It is highly unlikely that any kit purchased in the past 15 months or so, qualifies for a car package. Certainly any kit bought used does not get one either.

Garen it would be great if GS parts supply didn't come in waves.
I never know what parts I'm not going to be able to get a month from now.
At this point I'm hesitant to 'let go' and really enjoy my Storm because if I break a front lower suspension arm there's no telling how long I'll have to wait to get another one.
My LHS, Stormer Hobbies and Horizon Hobbies are all out of stock on this and many other parts.

Fidelio- I understand your concern. Unfortunately, there is little I can do to help the parts supply problems. The office I work at does not order or stock parts. We get complaints and we do forward them to the right people.....Hopefully this problem gets resolved soon.

Hard starting
My storm runs great. I'm pretty sure it is running neither lean nor rich.
It is hard starting though. Most days it takes like 10-12 pulls before it will start.
Any tips for easier starting?
I'm running 20% fuel btw.
Thanks

Need Part Diagram
Hi guys! I just bought a used Storm and need help rebuilding it. I would love to get an exploded view of the buggy so I know what may be missing. If you have one that you could email me that would be great -or- is there a web site I could view it at??? Thanks in advance...Tim

You do prime it by putting a finger on the stinger for a pull or two...right?? If so, try a new glow plug, check your ignitor's charge, make certain fuel tank is not leaking, get a starter box. Good luck!

Storm exploded view
Tim,
Here is the link to an exploded view of the Storm. Be patient, the .pdf file is 3.42 MB, so it may take a while to load.
