Fern, Before you go out and get a new engine, I would suggest you try the RB x12 pipe. The increase in top end on my Nova was amazing. Maybe one of your racing buddys run that pipe and can let you try it out.

Already have the RB pipe. The RB is one of my favoured engines, it is very reliable and makes awesome power. I have also just recieved the new O.S. TR12 and have started running the engine in it is showing heaps of promise. I ran a Parris Picco 12 a few weeks ago and I found this engine very good, lasting 8mins on a tank. In my experience there is very little difference between all the better engines. I am hoping to get just a few extra revs, I like to have the engine accelerate for the majority of the straight.

I will be running the O.S. engine at the Nats. I have just stripped the JP down and it is sublime to say the least. The O.S. rod is a good deal more robust. I have just sent some O.S. engines off to my engine tuner to blue print the same. If I win the Nats these engines will be available to all, if I come second (equal last) I will put my head between my legs and worship the winner.
Wish me luck and ask for Oz modified OS.

I think the straighter the shocks the faster the reaction as to lay them down which slows down the action.

Laying them down softens up the shock setup, and gives you more turning. But thats if you do it in the front, it will give you more oversteer as well. If you do it in the back, itll widen your tuning circle, and give you more understeer.

Hey Tamiya I did get the engine. $70 Aus ($35 US) Not too shabby. It has reasonable compression as well, it seems to go pretty hard. I just got a MTX2 for $250 Aus ($125 US) as well with a couple of hopups and some spares. So I am set for the racing season

Fantom clutch
Hello Guys!
Has anyone installed Fantom (kyosho) centax clutch to your Voner's? It would be easily adjusted. Any comments?

It is possible to fit the fantom clutch to the V one R but only if you have an engine with SG shaft. The Mugen 1/8 clutch also fits and with some spacers the pinions will also fit this clutch. I run a Fantom clutch and it does help.
