I sure could use some advice.

Hello fellow RC'ers. I used to race a Yokomo car. It was on the island of Guam. Great car....great place! It's been probably 10 years since I had a RC car. I've got the bug again. I don't want to deal with batteries. I want a gas off-road truck or buggy. I've never owned a gas powered RC car. I've ran them a few times and was excited about the speed. I'd like to buy something that isn't labor intensive. I won't be racing it. I want something that is durable and FAST!! Are there any such critter out there? Unfortantly I was recently laid-off and looking for work. I have noticed quite a few RC cars on ebay. Are there any particular trucks or buggies I should look for? Thanks for any help.

Being a Nitro Offroad Nut for 8 years now, the 2 most durable trucks i've seen, and own, are the RC10GT and the Traxxas Nitro Rustler.
With the GT, you get a truck thats good for backyard bashing, and has everything you need to be competitive at any dirt track. The Nitro Rustler is a great basher, but requires a fair amount of upgrades to be competitive against GT's, Losi's, and Kyosho Ultima St's. Add some Big Bore shocks and a Ball Diff, and the N-Rustler becomes a very easy to drive and competitive race truck.
Both of these trucks have a huge aftermarket parts following, and just about every hobby shop stocks tons of parts for them.
I'm sure you'd be more then happy with either truck, Good Luck, and Welcome back to the RC world!!

Thanks for the info......just one more......

Just one more thing. Do you have any good trucks or buggies for sale? How you ever checked out ebay? There are a few trucks I was looking at and wanted to know if you might possibly check them out and point me in the right direction? I'm currently looking for work and want to buy used. I don't normally, but when your in a tight situation it helps. Basically I'm looking for my christamas present. My wife has know for quite some that I love RC. I showed her some of the prices on ebay and told me to see how good of a price I could get. Please check out this page and let me know which trucks/buggies I should consider. Thanks for your time
