Greetings,

Well, i don't have a chassis shot of my SV10, but i have a pic of my SV10 under my Trueno shell. I'll try and get a camera and get more pics soon.

I converted my SV10 to RWD. Too bad i had to cut a set of universals to make it work, but thats what 2 cars are for. PARTS!

Ive been Kicking Butt with my Kawada SV10. Weve been indoors for two weeks now and ive qualified and finnished 2nd both weeks, only to be out done by my KC-Racing (www.kc-racing.com) team mate Dave. Im going to the US Indoor champs in Cleveland OH over thanx giving so wish me luck. Im very confident this year especialy with the help of GS Racing and KC-racing.

BTW i can get picks of my front end mod with the shock tower. MAJOR improvement in handling. it enters corners really fast now with less roll on the front. I still have to get the car leaving corners faster cuz thats where im losing about 2-3 tenths of a second. anyhow, ill keep u all posted.

Kawada,Kawada, Kawada

Glad to see that Kawada is alive and still kicking tail. For all that need parts remember www.kawadaracing.com Check out the new Toyota Chaser body and some updates. We are really starting to get requests for the M300 RSW and have sent several out of the country? Would like to see some local guys start using the 1/12th in local races? Let us know what you need for your Kawada cars and we'll make sure it's available. Watch for our Christmas contest, it will be posted on the site.

Kawada rtr

At this time Kawada does not offer any of it sv-10 Sigma's and Alcyon 2 in rtr(ready to run). The only rtr Kawada product is the 1/24th scale trip-mate and trip-mate mid.
You should forward your suggestion to Kawada Japen. We here at Evolution Hobbies, the U.S distributor for Kawada would like to see a rtr Alcyon 2 or Sigma.
please feel free to visist www.kawadaracing.com(U.S SITE) and if you have anymore questions on Kawada products hit the kawadainfo@evolutionhobbies link to email us.

a few things to check
1-check the one-way bearings to see if they are bad ,would make like a skipping-slipping sound, and check that if you only have a one way diff in the front
2-make sure that all set screws used in the axle are in all the way and are not hitting the hubs or outdrives.
3-and this is the one i think it could be !!! from the way you describe it ,it sound like you may have stripped out our steering servo in on direction.the servo may still work but it will make a vibrating type noise if a gear inside is bad.and it may lock into position.
and can test it by holding on to the servo horn ,turn it in each direction and the side that sounds like it is skipping means a bad servo and time to replace it or the gears in side ,also you can open the servo up and look at the teeth on the gears, just one tooth missing can cause a big problem.
4-CHECK OVER EVERYTHING IN THE FRONT TO MAKE SURE IT IS PUT TOGETHER RIGHT!!!
hope this helps

i do not have one way diffs. no teeth are missing on the servo (kinda hard to trip metal gears). the only time when the car makes the vibrating scratching noise is when turning while moving (kinda sounds like then chassis hits the ground, but its not. I don't think the front or rear end was built properly, i got the car par-built. I'll try rebuilding them.
thanks

let me know what you find out .also check the spur gear and pinion for damaged teeth and make sure that all of the pulleys are free of debris.just a couple more things to check.never heard of anybody having a problem with a alcyon like what your having.it will end up being something stupid and easily over looked!
