the gs-21 engine on my Madforce is a rear-exhaust engine with pullstart!
i just got some parts i orderd, my LHS told me that they arrived 4 days later!! stil need to wait for the other parts, and i just made a crazy jump with my Madforce and broke some parts ( and i already ordered more than a 1000 bucks in parts )
But hey, it's all worth it, right?

i know, butjust wanted to say that the stuff about the engine, cause you guys where talking about rear exhaust non-pullstart. And i ordered more parts for my FW-04 then my Madforce:
Hiratio diffs
hard chassis
carbon upperdeck
.15rx
murcielago(?) body
silver 18-spoke wheels
this baby is gonna be sweet!

Soudns good!
Personally I haven't thought about it too much and didn't realize that you can actually have a rear exhaust engine with a pull start .. perhaps I was at an impression that you cannot. Thanks for clarifying this Tjappie. (Anyway, the RX is only available without a pullstart as far as I know.)
Thanks,
Mika

Cool, where did you find these parts you listed? I assume they are all for the FW-04? Do you have a contact and pictures?
What engine did you find that is rear exhaust with pull start

Hdcchrome: i didn't find them, i just looked on Tower ( great site for checking out parts) and yes, they are all for the FW-04. I take pics when the car is build, okay?
The engine with rear exhaust/pullstart is the stockengine from the Madforce, the Kyosho GS-21R engine.
Mika: for some strange reason i ordered this flywheel: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...62&FVPROFIL=++ Do you think it will work with the RX? I also would like to know what silicone sealant is, cause i'm Dutch and can,t figure it out. Maybe some names or brands will help.

Ok Tjappie, the thing is that the flywheel you ordered is for the standard (threaded) shaft, not for the pilotshaft RX has. When you get the stuff, I would return the flywheel (of course you can check if it fits but I doubt) and meanwhile order the one I advised. It's for the pilot shaft.
by the way, I ordered once all these listed parts above from Tower and got them.. the only one they don't have is the wide silver rear wheel, but I use the gun metal 6 spoke:
I must be crazy but I ordered this italian high performance engine below, 1.55 BHP, for my other Super with the a black Murcielago body and silver wheels.. the engine must be italian, too, like the body, right !!
Nova Rossi .12 Turbo
It's lightweight, 215gr, and hopefully gives pretty low CG. I don't know what I'm going to do with the LD when it arrives, but propably some testing only and even use it, when my son wants to drive the car (soon 9 year old) - both RX and this new power plant are too much for him definitely

Silicone Sealant
Forgot this:
The silicone selant is sthe stuff for sealing basically anything that you can buy from automotive stores or gas stations etc. It handles high temperatures, too, and I use for sealing the diffs as well as sealing the header to the engine to avoid air and oil leaks. Good stuff.
More on the Nova Rossi: Don't worry Tjappie the O.S. RX has so much power that it makes the Super really fly it's just gonna be interesting how this "little" devil behaves compared to the big block RX.
Remember to adjust your toe-in for rear and toe-out for front plus some negative camber on all four corners. My suspension is pretty low (as low as it goes) and soft, although the spring itself are hard (harder than stock) since the engine is pretty heavy. I also use teflon shocks with 800 wt oil and universals both front and rear.

Cool. I was driving yesterday with the RX, it's a beast
Can't wait for the Nova. It has less troque but smaller in size and more top-end so let's see how the Super will fly.. I think I need to play with gearing to get it going..

Long time since I started up my FW04. At least over 6 months. Anyways, thinking of getting something new for it. New body? Maybe a new engine?

Clutch bearings?
I am piecing together a super 10 4 stroke. I picked up the 4 stroke conversion kit with 2 speed clutch bell etc. The clutch bearings or bushings (I hope not) are not included and no part number is mentioned. I have no manual and the Kyosho and Tower websites do not offer any help.Does anyone know the size of these bearings?
Any help is appreciated.
Peace

Thanks Dan, after few tanks I would say it compares well, I mean, it seems as fast. It may even accelerate a bit better since it's more lightweight but I'm not quite sure yet. Needs more tuning still, but it's been exceptionally hot here last three weeks, so it's been quite difficult (to bear the heat and all).
It's has now a lighter flywheel, fzw62, which is really lightweight and small in size. Even better acceleration.
So, as I said I need to do more testing, but I'm pretty excited. The car looks really good and it behaves really nicely on track. A good choice for your Super (hey no wonder - it costs almost twice the RX) ! I can give you a list of option parts in case you consider this one for your car, including OS header, Kyosho mounts and flywheel and clutch.

Okay guys, after some more testing I could say the Nova is bit more faster, maybe not the top speed which is roughly the same but it accelerates better and is really easier to drive with lower CG and weight.. I could say it's more reactive, too, and there's no side roll at all.
I sold the car with the RX since I don't have enough time for two cars thus cannot run them head to head.
My guess is that the speed reaches around 80 mph, but I have not really clocked it.

Hi, it might be okay but it's not a race car like FW04 to my opinion, more like a starter kit. You might post your question to a proper Kyosho thread instead of this one .. it's a bit quiet here, so don't expect any answers really ..
thanks,
Mika

Hi;
I have a couple of questions about the 4 strokes..... Hope someone can answer them. I have a HPI RS4 3 SS kit, would the FS26 fit in that car? Also, does anyone know if the FS 30 crankcase would replace the 26C's? Tower has discontinued selling the 26C crankcase, and I might need one.......
