The Foams For The Super Nitro Rs4 Will Fit The Superten That You Won On Ebay And The Foam Won't Even Nip The Manifold If You Use The Kyosho Manifold I Think That's About Wright. Answers Your ? But They Won't Fit The Fw03-4 Series Because The Fw03-4 Series Axle And The Hex Are Larger Then The Old Series.

Here are the comparisons of the wheels. The rubber wheels fit both my Super RS4 and My Superten, but the foams must be from another planet.
The hole and the Hex is bigger and doesn'y fit any car I have.

Rubber - Diameter of hole 4mm - Width of Hex 12 mm
Foams - Diameter of hole 6mm - Width of Hex 15 mm

These look like the same bogus wheels I bought. I just emailed KGarage and asked for the diameter of the hole and the width of the hex. We shall see...

(Unless I am a bit clueless and the hex and hole on the FW-04 IS that much bigger)

Hi guys, here my pics: 1rst and second the originals wheels and tyres, compared to the foams i have.the diameter of the hole and the hex is exactly the same, 4mm&12mm
The same for the whees that i'm going to use if i find the foams 4mm and 12mm.
The only i need are some washers to put on the hex (included with the foam and of the rigth shape, also 4 mm and 12 mm)

The FW-03 had a 12mm hex and the wheels were held on with a nut. You can use HPI SNrs4 wheels on these.

The FW-04 had a larger hex and the wheels were held on with a bolt. These won't interchange with the earlier models or HPI.

Ok Ok Guys
Lets Clean This Up The Kyosho Superten That Came Out In The 90"s
Has The Same Hex Size As The Rs4 Super Nitro 12mm, I Know I Also Have 1 These 2 Cars Can Trade Rims, But The Fw04 Seies Came With The Largger Hex 14mm Hex Because Where The Rim Spins The Axle Is Not 3mm It's 4 Mm Thats Why The Hole Looks So But

Thats odd??? The early super10 I have has 5mm axles (4mm through the wheel), and the FW-04 has 6mm.

Ya I'd like to see pictures of what you have. I don't know of any super10's with a 3 or 4mm axle.

"Before" the FW-04, they had 5mm axles (part number OT-17 front, and OT-18 rear) that road on 5x10 bearings. It tapered down (used a tapered hex washer) to 4mm and uses a 4mm "nut" to hold the wheel on.

His ride one page back (post 1334) with the LD engine is an older one (you can see the wheel nuts).

The FW-04 is the only one that has 6mm axles, and is the only one that has "bolts" holding the wheels on.

Thanks for the diagram Please!

So then the FW-04 wheels have a larger hex because of the larger hole... ok I get it now. The FW-04 is the one from another planet...

So I can either get the hex adapters for the FW-04 and a sleeve for the axle or sell my foam set and cut my losses.

Thanks for your input too Toad...

I don't know if there is an adapter to allow for the 04 wheels to fit the older cars.... there might be? The car wasn't that popular here in the states, parts were hard to come by let alone hop-ups.

I don't think you will be able to use the 04 hexs... totally different setup. Its straight through 6mm where as yours is tapered 5 to 4mm.

You can still down load the 04 manual from Kyosho... give you a better idea whats different about the car.

Thanks for the info Please. I'll just sell my foams. I'm not gonna really run my ST anyway, its just a shelf car.

It's kind of a hybrid I have some FW-04 wheel guards, Traxxas engine pipe and reciver box, a roll bar made from something from some car, a fuel tank and filter from an MP 777 and a carbon fiber shock tower brace froms Mugen

All I need to do is connect some electricity to the bolts on its neck and...

Its alive!

the 2 axles on the top are kyosho, the left one comes from the Special Option Version fw04 and comes with the black chassis 2speed . The one on the right comes from superten GP it don't come with the radio box , it's not fw04 series. the only way for you to swap axels is to swap the bearing and the housing for the axle of the fw04 series and MAYBE it will fit good luck hope this help's.

Toad

Since the rear exhaust is pointing out the back of the car you need a manifold like one for a 1/8 scale buggy only on the opposite side right?

I think HPI makes one that might work since they have one for their NRS4 3. The Supertens share the same layout.

antonio77,

Have a look at JPL pipes. You will find them at rcmart dot com. They have a much better pricetag than Kyosho with no loss of performance!!

antonio77,
the fw04, fzw56 tranny holds the power well, the stock tranny will fall apart the clutch shoes in the stock tranny won't hold the power
thank you all for the help. that kyosho pipe looks good i'll check on it and get back to you soon on that. i was also told that the THS1011r works well. Now, NITRONUTS I DON'T THINK AN 1/8 SCALE PIPE WILL WORK ON THE OS TZ .18 THE BLOCK IS SMALLER BUT I HAVE AN OS PIPE 2050 FOR MY MBX5T I'LL TRY THAT BUT IT LOOKS BIG.
