Dang i would rather get the pull start for the engine instead of running the fuel tank up there, it could be dangerous during a crash or when you flip over. EZ-start is pretty stupid it doesnt even work that good.

IMHO....
the first thing i would do is...check the batteries.......
next re center the throttle servo......
then check the radio settings make sure the throttle knob is set to
center,.....
sounds like something is off center...........
or real low batteries in tx and (or) rx box.....
hope this helps,it's hard to tell without actually seeing the truck....

...

turn on the radio, turn on the car,(don't start it).remove the throttle horn from the servo, set the idle arm to the idle position,(push the linkage so it closes to the idle setting) 1.5mm opening in carb, then replace servo horn.shut them both off,now when you turn them back on it should be in the idle position...

install a new glo-plug.......set the carb settings to factory specs......
2 3/4 high speed for break in
2 t0 2 1/2 after break in............
mine is set at 1 full turn out from closed....runs great ,not too lean and not too rich..
that might be on account of the weather?

put a strip of paper between the clutch bell gear and the spur gear, turn the spur gear with your finger till the paper gets marks on it,if the paper is cut,it is to tight, light marks mean it is to loose...to adjust this ,loosen the 4 (engine) bolts on bottom of chasiss. to loosen the gear mesh slide engine away from spur gear.to tighten the gear mesh ,slide engine towards the spur gear.when you get it right, leave paper in the gears and re-tighten the 4 bolts....hope this helps...(~¿0)...
you can use the duratrax maximum mt 52 tooth steel spur gear,...but, you will have to grind out a small place on the bottom of the chasiss so it will not rub...
if you want to make truck wider, you can use nitro rustler suspension arms
front and rear but, you'll need longer dog bones...

Can you still use the other stock suspension parts (hubs, carriers....) with the rusty parts or do you have to get the whole front end set. The bad thing about the maximum gear is that the biggest clutch bell you can fit is a 15T. You should leave the gear mesh a little far apart because the chassis flexes sooo much, just push the brake when the car is off and the chassis flexes.

yes..you can use all the stock parts! you will have to have small washer's because the rustler arm's are a hair wider where the pin holds them on to the chasiss,
like i said you will have to have longer dog bones "i used maximum mt dog bones"...

That's sweet, can you list all the parts that you used to make the arm conversion. Some picks would be cool too.

pics?

will try a few pics.........here you can see how much wider it is...

you will need longer (turn buckles) or tie rods and ball ends, the stock one's are too short and about 6 washer's,cause rusty arm's are a hair narrower than the st's..

so all you should need is
6 longer turn buckles..(2 on each side in the front,1 on each side in the rear)
2 longer dog bones
4 rusty suspension arms...that will do it...

You can always make a custom chassis, shock towers, chassis upper deck. An easy one is to drill out some holes in the upper deck to save weight if you wanted. The cheapest engine would have to be the Epic .18, all the NovaRossi and Sirio engines have the same power (maybe a little more) but almost twice the cost.
