Well the reason guys are trying these cars over the TC3 is reliability. The TC3's are fragile. Everytime you turn around you break. So if you are a half a lap ahead, it wont matter if you get bumped into a wall and break. I am an off-road guy, and bought one of these to compete, but my 1/8 scale broke, so i need to repair it and focus on what i am decent at racing rather than something new, LOL. These have internally adjustable pistons in the shocks for easy dampening changes, a thick chassis, a truly world class car. GS really did their homework. I wish i could afford to race it, but right now i cant. Someone can really benefit if they are looking at buying a new one.

same here..just

yeah...been having the GS for
4 to 5 months now ,
been in 2 races and weekend bashing.
i've been in quite a few reasonable crashes
and roll over....

only broke 3 parts in this period...the steering servo saver,
the universal shaft, and the tank lid cover( this lid cover was the only broken parts when i hit
smack iinto or actually stuck under a wooden 3 by 4 timber barrier )

all this happen separately...still haven't change
the beltings....and i'm about to go in another
race this weekend....

Hello my friends,
I just purchased a vision pro and have a few questions. While reading the manual, it says to use 7000 wt diff lube for the front and 3000 wt in the rear. And it also calls for 3000 wt diff lube in the shocks. What is 3000 diff lube equivilent to in shock wt oil? To me, 3000 wt looks like maybe 80 or 90 wt shock oil. I have already bought the 7 & 3000 wt diff lubes and I currently have a variety of shock wt oil from my previous cars. I was just wondering what the conversion is, or do any of you have a suggestion for a starting point for the shock wt oil? Thank you for your time.

I'm just trying to keep this at the top. What shock wt oil to start with? What shock wt. oil is equal to 3000 wt. diff lube? Thanks.

I ran 60w oil all the way round in my shocks, and 50,000 diff lube in the front and 5,000 in the back diff. I dont know any conversion. Try GS Red springs in front and GS Blue springs in back. Stock sway bar in back and Fioroni blade sway bar recomended for the front. Any other questions email me, i should be able to get ur car pretty well hooked up.

Be sure to super glue the brake pad material to the "calipers". This will help prevent brake fadeing. Also, make sure that u use the softer of the two springs when building the clutch and apply thread locking compound to the clutch adjustment nut.

Any other questions be sure to E-mail me at KawadaKid@hotmail.com

KawadaKid, why do you say to use the softer spring for the clutch?

I was told by Garen from General Silicones a while back to use the softer spring so that is what I will recomend. The hard one does not work properly sometimes, or at least the ones included in earlier kits.

KawadaKid

Another question for you. When measuring the width of the car(200 mm), do I measure it with the tires on or do I leave the tires off and just measure axle tip to axle tip?

First, i would find the center of the car then measure from the center to the outside of the wheel then do the same to the other side. Its key to makesure that its even on both sides.

Has anyone had a problem with the rear dogbones being to long? Using the factory settings, the pivot balls are in to far, causing the bone to hit against the diff when the bone is level, and not allowing the arm to go up any further.
Am I missing something?

Hmm, This is a new one to me....

I would try using settings other than the manual and re check ur width and toe in the back. If changing that doesnt help, E-mail me and i can help you furthermore.

I realize the same problem in my car. If you want to make your car less than 200 mm in the rear, the dogbones hit against the diff when the suspension travels downwards. It helps removing some material in the pivot balls making them flat.
